What we store on your device

penwright.ai is a marketing and account site. We store a small amount of data in your browser to make the site work and to measure how it's used. We do not run third-party advertising on this site.

Essential storage (always on)

• penwright_consent_v1 – your cookie-consent choice. Stored in localStorage.
• penwright-cookie-consent – legacy mirror of the consent record (kept for compatibility, removed once consent is re-set).
• penwright_ref – referral code captured from the ?ref= URL parameter, so the right person gets credit for your signup.
• sb-* – Supabase auth session cookies. Required to sign in to your Penwright account.
• __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid – Stripe checkout integrity cookies, used only on the checkout flow.

Analytics (only with your consent)

If you choose “Accept all” in our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager. These set the cookies below to measure aggregate site usage. We never load them before you opt in, and we never load them if your browser sends Sec-GPC or Do Not Track.

• _ga, _ga_* – Google Analytics 4. Distinguishes visitors. Retained up to 13 months.
• _gid – Google Analytics. Distinguishes visitors. Retained 24 hours.
• _gat – Google Analytics throttle cookie. Retained 1 minute.

We may extend this list as we add tools. We will update this page when we do.

Changing your choice

To change your consent, clear your browser storage for penwright.ai and reload the page. The banner will reappear and you can choose again. We'll surface a one-click toggle here in a future update.

No content cookies in the Penwright Mac app

This policy covers the marketing site only. The Penwright Mac app does not send your audio, transcripts, or text to any server. See our security page for details.
